Calling all sales savvy and target driven individuals, we are expanding at a significant rate and need to find an Area Sales Manager to join our London office based in Hammersmith.

As our approach focuses on delivering our clients an affordable IT support solution, combined with an exceptional level of service, the uptake in the London area has been rapid and certainly well received.

You will be responsible for helping the London region achieve monthly sales targets through a range of sales focused activity that will include face-to-face new business consultations.

You will be consultative in your nature, and be confident in discussing the features and benefits of our Managed IT Service. Whilst we do not expect a technical background, as one of the key purposes of the role is to generate and conduct high quality business consultations, you will need to be tenacious and focused on building valuable ongoing relationships with our prospects.

To join our London, Business Development Sales Team, you must have proven credibility in a sales and target driven environment, and have the ability to apply your sales experience to the role. Full training of all the RockIT products and services will be provided.

Whilst we are interested in your existing knowledge, RockIT also value continued learning and we can support this in a number of ways. We will teach you about our industry leading products and solutions and will give you the opportunity to access an in-house, bespoke, self-learning tool that will support your personal development.

You will responsible for

  • Meeting with prospects face-to-face and on the telephone to sell our Managed Services

  • Giving sales presentations to high-level executives

  • Qualifying prospects

  • Pipeline management

  • Generating revenue and acquiring new Managed Service clients

  • Meeting personal and team sales targets

  • Creating a positive impression of the RockIT brand with prospects

  • Liaising with upper management, ensuring sales targets are met

  • Analysing current marketplace and feeding back important market and competitive information to Business Development staff and management

  • Collaborating with appropriate team members to determine necessary strategic sales approaches

  • Executing and managing sales strategies

  • Maintaining records in our CRM

  • Developing sales and technical knowledge through the Sales Academy

  • Utilising RockIT’s internal systems to prioritise work and maximise sales success to achieve strategic objectives, call KPIs, appointment targets, etc.

  • Diary management and management of other administrative functions

  • Building a rapport with potential clients to ensure every opportunity comes to fruition

  • Assisting in dealing with complaints

  • Liaising with the Solutions Team to generate Solutions quotes for prospects


  • Typical career progression is within 12 months
