Area Relationship Manager

The main purpose of this role is to act as a Relationship Manager for issues relating to Business Assurance from the Partnership, Field Management Team and Business Risk Teams. Promoting a positive 'brand’ for the department at every opportunity.

This will involve supporting the Field Management Team with their understanding and engagement of advice issues, and help to influence and improve the quality of advice/documentation.

Due to the nature of this role, we would be happy to consider candidates based in locations other than Cirencester.


Main Purpose of the Job:

The main purpose of this role is to act as a Relationship Manager for issues relating to Business Assurance from the Partnership, Field Management Team and Business Risk Teams. Promoting a positive 'brand’ for the department at every opportunity.

This will involve supporting the Field Management Team with their understanding and engagement of advice issues, and help to influence and improve the quality of advice/documentation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To work closely with Root Cause Analysis Team and to provide bespoke Partner training, where required
  • To assist with training and support for newly appointed Partnership Development Managers
  • To consult with Partners, via the FMT, on complex cases and advice-related issues
  • To assist with training where new processes/systems have launched, or where there are quality concerns
  • To work closely with the Business Risk Managers to identify any trends and to follow-up accordingly
  • To work with key location contacts to ensure that documentation standards remain high
  • To act as a key interface between Head Office, the FMT and the Partnership
  • To identify poor quality Partners and to provide targeted 1-2-1 support to upskill

Required Skills:

  • Ideally will have checking experience in a compliance or complaints setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Robust presentation skills, with experience of presenting to large audiences
  • Ability to analyse MI and identify trends
  • Ability to manage diary in an efficient manner and manage expectations in a timely manner
  • To build new relationships, enhance existing relationships and where necessary, help to resolve conflicts


Required Technical Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Must hold a minimum of the Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent)
  • Ideally, be working towards (or willing to work towards) Chartered status
  • Holding the AF3 qualification would be preferable but it is not essential
