About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead, motivate, develop, support and manage a team of 15 BES engineers in the delivery of the Hard FM contract. This will include training identification, updating and monitoring safety performance, and ensuring key business information and messages are cascaded in a timely and accurate manner. The key customer interface for both scheduled and non-planned works, ensuring that work is delivered in a timely and profitable manner.
Responsible for ensuring cost control of circa £1.5 to £2.5 Million, you will lead on operational Health and Safety within the defined area and ensure safe systems of work are followed.
You will monitor, review and report on performance against KPI’s and SLA’s to the Operations Manager to identify areas for improvement and develop strong working relationships with customers and Union representatives to deliver business change as required.
Based in London the role covers the following postcode areas: HA, UB, TW, KT SM, CR, BR, DA. As a result extensive travel is required.
You will have demonstrable experience of leading, developing and motivating a team of technical engineering professionals and be able to review and deliver a succession plan to mitigate operational risk.
Ideally holding a relevant technical qualification, or technical M&E knowledge with a good financial knowledge, including experience of effectively manging costs you will have a good working knowledge of compliance and quality legislation relating to mechanical and electrical engineering.
Good project management experience is required along with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate engineers and to positively influence customers.
