This is a full time, permanent post with the successful candidate being rewarded with a starting salary of £26,000 - £31,000 per annum.

A leading professional logistic company with an impressive portfolio of clients is looking for an Area Manager to manage the entire order cycle so as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will visit branches to build and maintain good relationship with branch management and bikers.

Responsibilities

  • A flexible approach to working hours
  • Support at customer service needs
  • Proactive and Organised person
  • Understanding the needing of operations in the last minute
  • Keep track of quality, delivery times and efficiency
  • Drive the Daily Delivery per Driver Hour
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
  • Maintain accurate timesheets
  • Speak to the bikers for any issue or updates that need to be addressed
  • Check the Bikers Uniform (Bike, Stickers, Top Box, Logo at back, Hi Viz)
  • Check biker paperwork (manifest, return book to see that they are filled properly)
  • Update driver’s details into the Zoho System such as bike Reg/ Address/ mobile number
  • Maintain driver Quality and No-show rate
  • Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Strategically planning and managing last mile logistics, transportation and customer services
  • Directing, optimizing and coordinating full order cycle

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager
  • Full motorbike and car UK driving licence
  • Proactive and Organised person
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  • Proficient in standard logistics software
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • Good time keeping (arrival time)
