My Buckinghamshire based client has been successfully trading since the 1970’s and is a medium sized cleaning company trading in London and the northern and western Home Counties, from Oxfordshire in the north to the M4 corridor in the south. They provide daily cleaning, window cleaning and a broad range of specialist cleaning services employing circa 350 people.
I am currently on my client’s behalf looking for an Area Manager, with the ability to take ownership of the area and to constantly improve the business. The area to cover is around the Aylesbury area heading west into Oxfordshire. Ideal locations for candidates to reside would include Aylesbury, Thame and heading into Oxfordshire further, therefore candidates MUST live within THIRTY MINUTES drive of Thame. The portfolio itself is mainly commercial sites with the odd medical centre. The structure of the team to manage will include an Area Supervisor who will assist with some management tasks and circa 80-90 operatives.
The role will involve responsibility for service delivery. Tasks will include regular meetings with clients, site audits etc some tasks will be shared with the supervisor such as ensuring the operatives have the required equipment and consumables, pay role etc. The role is new to this area so there will be some fettling with the duties.
For this role individuals should have a sound knowledge of the cleaning industry, an excellent client awareness and commercial judgement, be flexible in their approach to work, have excellent decision making and interpersonal skills, be able to motivate others and be an effective and strong manager, possess excellent time management and administrative skills, be committed to equal opportunities and possess a positive and sensitive approach to the needs of others. Possess a full UK driving license. An experienced Area Mobile Supervisor (not site) would be considered for this role.
Salary £25k (possibly higher), fully expensed company vehicle, company mobile phone , company tablet and NEST Pension
