Your new company
Your new employer are a medium-sized practice, situated in Worthing, that specialise in residential architecture, ranging from a handful of units to large-scale housing development schemes and some multi-storey, reinforced concrete buildings. The team is currently made up of over a dozen members but have a recent vacancy they are looking to fill. The firm pride themselves on being a friendly team with a very low turnover of staff and offering their staff a range of perks.
Your new role
The firm are looking for an Architectural Technician with experience in residential architecture. They are looking for someone who is able to hit the ground running, taking ownership of their own projects, from start to finish. You will be required to use your experience of AutoCAD to prepare drawings to meet a client's needs. They also have access to SketchUp, Adobe software and the Microsoft Office suite.
What you'll need to succeed
You should be proactive and enthusiastic with a spark and drive to work on your own devices. Experience within the residential sector and an understanding of all that entails, is essential. You should be open to learning and developing your skills and good at coping with some of the pressures the role presents. Driving license is ideal, but not essential.

Working hours are typically 9-5:30 with 1 hour for lunch, and they are willing to be flexible, should the need arise. The firm typically offer 12-15 CPD events per year and also undertake webinars and seminars. Travel expenses are covered and statutory pension contributions are paid. Your starting holiday allowance will be 28 days inclusive of bank holidays. The salary is negotiable, depending on your level of experience but they believe what they offer is competitive. The company also offers bonuses, twice annually and the option for salary increases is reviewed regularly.
