My client is a multidisciplinary practice that has 10 offices based in the UK and abroad and over 300 members of staff across the country. They have a diverse portfolio including offices, residential, healthcare, hotels, leisure, retail, schools and universities. They are a practice leading the market in its use of BIM. Their approach to BIM is one of teamwork and collaboration with design team partners which they consider this a philosophy in everything that they do.
With an increasing flow of projects, they are now looking for an Architect to join their friendly team in their Winchester office.
Role & Responsibilities
This role would suite a bright individual who is looking to develop their career within a forward thinking practice.
They are looking for a qualified team member, ideally with experience in the education, healthcare and residential sectors on projects with a value of between £1m and £10m.The candidate must be capable of running several projects at the same time, clearly delegating to less experienced team members. They are looking for someone with lateral thinking, clear communication and collaborative spirit. Knowledge of Revit is required. Knowledge and use of other design and presentation software is advantageous but not essential.
The successful candidate will be maintaining detailed knowledge of their own project whilst organising and collating technical information. You will be preparing design proposals using different software platforms and traditions methods. Candidates will be adding to the design process and co-ordinating detailed design information. You will be able to prepare specifications for construction work, drawings, plans and documents for approvals.
Required Skills & Experience
Qualified as an Architect (RIBA/ARB) with at least 3 years post qualification experience
The ability to demonstrate relevant experience in being a lead Architect on projects of £100k+
Excellent people skills and the ability to liaise directly with clients.
Experience with use of Revit is essential
Ability to balance workload . This may require you to manage several projects at any one time
