Job Title: Approved Electrician
Location: Melksham/ Wiltshire/ Bristol/ Bath
Salary: £29,171 plus benefits
In this role you’ll be responsible carrying out electrical installation, servicing & maintenance work on both Railway stations and property.
You’ll also set out jobs from drawings and specifications, establish the requirements of a project, and requisition the necessary installation materials to ensure compliance and test systems. Finally, you’ll commission and test electrical systems & equipment and issue relevant certification as required.
Your Skills and Experience
You’ll ideally have the following qualifications;
- City and Guilds City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 and 2 or 2351 or 2330 levels 2 and 3 or approved equivalent.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and/or servicing & maintenance work.
- Achievement Measurement 2
- A thorough working knowledge of Industry Codes of Practice, relevant British Standards and Construction Industry Safety Regulations.
- Work independently and as part of a team to carry out electrical installation and/or servicing & maintenance work without immediate supervision
- Have a full, clean UK driving licence.
Experience within the railway environment will be an advantage but is not essential as Personal Track Safety (PTS) training can be provided. We would also carry out a medical assessment prior to you starting. Due to the nature of our work, you may be required to work away from home on occasions, requiring overnight stays.
