The Apprenticeship Business Partner will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the apprentice role and apprenticeship delivery model across a regional area within RSR. This involves supporting the ongoing progress of apprentices through formative assessments, ensuring our delivery model achieves its aim of delivering high quality, compliant and commercially successful apprentices whilst contributing to creating internal and external processes to make certain our delivery model meets the required standards for audit (e.g. Ofsted, ESFA, EPAO).

Location: The Midlands - we are open to the exact base location, but this role with cover the Midlands, so it needs to be easily commutable across this area and to our Head Office in Northampton
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 plus a car allowance of £3,500
Working hours: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week
Contract: Full time, Permanent
What the role looks like:
As an Apprenticeship Business Partner, your duties will include ensuring new apprentices receive a professional welcome and introduction to RSR, delivering induction sessions and supporting the progress of apprentices. You will provide fair and consistent feedback to apprentices and offer day-to-day support to certify smooth running and successful timely completion of the apprenticeship programme.
You will carry out a minimum of 3 formal reviews with apprentices throughout the duration of their programme whilst supporting them with achieving successful first time pass rates for English and Maths functional skills.You will also have responsibilities with other key stakeholders in the business, including supporting the Head of Apprenticeships with preparing for audit visits and supporting managers across the network with their knowledge of the apprenticeship programme so they can coach the apprentices within their teams.
You will also be attending regular meetings with the Apprenticeship team and the wider L&D team to ensure there is ongoing promotion and awareness of what the apprenticeship programme offers. Ultimately, you will be developing and maintaining relationships with individuals across RSR to ensure apprenticeship-related communication is cascaded to drive and embed the success of apprenticeships into the company culture.
What makes a good Apprenticeship Business Partner?
The ideal candidate will be a qualified assessor and internal verifier. You must have good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, as well as possessing strong communication skills. You must also have the ability to work and adapt to a changing environment, whilst carrying out activities in an orderly and structured way.
Effective diary management skills are essential so that you can ensure all the apprentices in your region are being supported, thus you must also take a pro-active approach and resolve any arising issues. You must be able to work on your own initiative and have the interpersonal skills to deal with different levels of management and employees across the business.
You must be willing to travel the region with frequent overnight stays. It is essential that you have experience of work-based learning and e-learning programmes, apprenticeship standards and formative as well as summative assessment methods. Knowledge of Level 2 Functional Skills assessments is also vital. Working knowledge of the recruitment industry is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
