Job Role: Apprenticeship Business Partner
Reporting to: Head of Apprenticeships
Base Location: Midlands preferred
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum plus car allowance
Travel: There will be some travel throughout the UK to visit Reed branches
An exciting opportunity to join the Apprenticeships team as Apprenticeship Business Partner to support the Launch and delivery of the Reed Apprenticeship Scheme.
The role exists to support Reed’s Apprenticeship Scheme, which has been implemented in order to maximise the return on investment of the apprenticeship levy. Sat within Learning and Development, the apprenticeship scheme has been designed to shape new Consultant and Resourcer training as well as add academic rigour and external endorsement of this structured programme.
With delivery due to begin in early 2018 the Apprenticeship Business Partner will play a pivotal role in supporting both Apprentices, RSR Business Managers and the Apprenticeship delivery team. This role will include supporting, monitoring and reviewing apprenticeship progress. supporting the strategic development of the quality improvement process, 1-1 coaching, some training delivery
§ Undertaking tasks as guided by the Head of Apprenticeships
§ § Providing front line support for apprentices in the submission of evidence and use of Reed’s e-portfolio system.
§ Problem solving, motivating and guiding RSR Apprentices throughout their learning journeys
Providing fair and consistent marking and feedback to apprentices to ensure the maintenance and improvement of all quality outcomes
Prepare apprentices to achieve gateway requirements which lead to successful outcomes and end point assessment
§ Supporting the management of the administration of the Reed e-portfolio system
§ Support the development and delivery of quality assurance systems to ensure compliance with Skills Funding Agency, National Apprenticeship Service and OfSTED guidelines.
§ Ensure compliance with REC and Skills First (awarding organisation) requirements
§ Liaison with external stakeholders including the REC, Skills First, ESFA, NAS and OfSTED
§ Attend meetings (internal and external) representing the apprenticeship team where required
Who would make a good Apprenticeship Business Partner?
Previous experience of apprenticeship delivery in a work based learning environment is essential
A1 and V1 (TAQA/IQA) qualified
Learning & development experience would be preferable
Experience of working on e-portfolios would be desirable, but not essential
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in the use of a range of computer packages such as MS Excel, MS Word and databases
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent (grade C or above)
The ability to plan ahead and manage your own workload, as well as others’ time
Also you will need to be self-motivated, autonomous, good at problem solving and be able to demonstrate tenacity, energy and enthusiasm
