Apprenticeship Assessor (Business)

UCB are seeking to appoint an Assessor to work with apprentices on work-based programmes across the full range of our Business School provision.

The post will focus on the assessment of a mixture of frameworks and standards. However the key areas of responsibility will be higher/degree apprenticeships, Business Administration, Team Leader, Customer Service and Marketing qualifications across a range of businesses. Other key duties will include the administration associated with enrolment and tracking, employer liaison, recruitment of learners and industry updating. This post will also involve the assessment of functional skills and there is an expectation that you will take a proactive approach to supporting and contributing to the growth of the apprenticeship provision from a business development perspective.

The successful candidate will have experience of assessment/training/teaching, in addition to well-developed organisational, administrative and communication skills, computer literacy and relevant professional and Assessor qualifications. You will be informed about updates within your field of expertise and possess the ability to motivate a diverse range of students.

Support and funding will be provided for the post-holder to work towards a Verifier qualification, if not already held.

This post will involve travel; predominantly within the West Midlands. Flexibility is therefore essential and the post-holder will also ideally hold a valid driving licence.
