A great opportunity has arisen for someone who is looking for a career within the Lloyds and London Insurance Market.

The role in question is with Omnyy which is a Managing General Agent and part of the Lockton Group of Companies.

Omnyy provide innovative capacity and underwriting services for clients around the globe and specialise in a range of insurance classes including but not limited to Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers, Commercial Crime, Terrorism and Medical Malpractice.

Some of the key areas of responsibility within the role will include:

  • Completing data capture, liaising with various operation teams to ensure risk information is entered on company systems in an accurate and timely manner

  • Working with underwriters to support the underwriting function and increase your technical knowledge of different classes of business written

  • Progressing with the evolution and optimisation of the current processes in place

  • Statistical analysis and interpretation of data, completing regular reporting

  • Building awareness of the annual business plan for the division and its context

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders including brokers, insurers and colleagues

  • Adhering to underwriting standards, authority and good practice to minimise risk and maximise efficiency

  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines

  • Issuing Insurance Documentation where required, accurately and within set time frames

Suitable candidates for the role will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in or knowledge of insurance is desirable but not essential- this may have been gained work experience, internships and/or study

  • Intermediate level understanding of Microsoft applications

  • A high level of numeracy and literacy

  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, able to prioritise and work to deadlines

  • Flexible approach and ability to recognise and adapt to changing business requirements

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • A strong work ethic and solution driven approach
  • The ability to be an integrated team member, embracing the culture and ethics of the business
