As an Apprentice within the Underwriting department at OSB, you will gain fantastic insight and experience in financial services whilst we support you to achieve your Business Administration qualification (Level 3).

This role will offer you the chance to support our Underwriting function by:

  • Supporting our underwriters and lending assessors in the team

  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post

  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing calls

  • Performing various administrative tasks

  • Typing, collating and posting mortgage offers to solicitors and customers

    In return for your hard work, we will offer you:

    Our requirements:

  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn the department from the ground up

  • A keen interest in a long term career within a Financial Services environment

  • Self-motivation and initiative to suggest improvements and interact confidently with all departments

  • Determination to learn and develop new skills, with the long term aim to progress

  • Minimum GSCE’s (Grade 4 or above) in Mathematics or English
