Apprentice/Junior CCTV Engineer

They need an apprentice engineer to work across the UK on ANPR / CCTV systems. Ideally they would like you to start immediately.
As an Apprentice ANPR / CCTV Engineer, you will be travelling throughout the country getting the opportunity to meet new people, working in a small and close team, gaining new experiences and working with the latest technology.
You will be installing new systems and fixing and maintaining existing systems.
You will be working across the whole country and therefore the role will involve frequent travel and overnight stays throughout Great Britain.
Your duties will include:
- IP CCTV
- PC based systems
- Data Cabling
- Hardware and Software Installation
- Access Control
- Assembling hardware
- Dealing with and fixing faults
You will need to:
- Attend training and complete work on time
- Be responsible for and enthusiastic about your own training and learning
- Travel extensively
- Conduct yourself in a safe manner and comply with health and safety policies and procedures
- Work at heights and frequently outdoors.
To be successful in your application you will need five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade D or above including Maths, English and IT. A Level 2 NVQ Apprenticeship qualification or a Level 2 or Level 3 BTEC in Electrical Engineering - Electro Technical - IT would be an advantage.
You will also show a real interest in Technology, IT Systems, Electronics, Camera Technology / HD. Ideally you will have an understanding of the basic principles of IT networking and devices.
Personally, you will be responsible and mature, with a strong work ethic, and good communication skills. You will be willing to travel throughout Great Britain and be able to work on your own (with supervision).
It would be an advantage if you already have a full driving licence or have passed your driving theory test. If you have not passed your driving test yet, they would expect you to be willing and able to pass it as soon as possible.
In addition to a starting salary range of £15k - £17k, you will also receive a range of employee benefits that include 33 days' holiday, bonuses and a workplace pension.
Your starting salary will be formally reviewed after 3 months.
You will receive a combination of practical and theoretical technical training, including all of the health and safety training and certifications required to work as a service / installation engineer.
