We currently have a vacancy for an Apprentice Customer Service Assistant in our Operations Department based in the Hedge End, Southampton Office. Do you have excellent Customer service skills? Are you able to work under pressure? with a genuine desire to support our Customers Businesses finding innovative solutions and options to help them through a first class service?

Job Purpose

To ensure that all Operational targets in relation to service, quality and productivity are met at all times by assisting the operations team. To learn the Freight Forwarding business.

What will you do?

  • To learn from & assist the current the Current team and develop the required skills to become a fully trained Customer Service Coordinator

  • Accurate input of data

  • Raising customer orders on the system (FLOW)

  • To maintain the System Data (FLOW)/Axis for the whole team.

  • Efficient use of available communication tools to confirm all arrangements specific to the transport process and miscellaneous/ancillary transactions

  • Selecting approved suppliers whilst considering cost and commercial viability

  • Assist in the processing of both sales and purchase invoices

  • Maintain excellent lines of communication with both customers and suppliers

What can you expect from us?

  • £12,000 per annum

  • 3 x Death in Service after successfully completing a probationary period

  • Company Pension Scheme after successfully completing a probationary period

  • 20 days Holiday plus Bank Holidays per annum (Increases from year 3 by 1 day per year to a maximum of 25 days)

  • 1 Birthday day per year
