The Applications department is an integral part of our clients offering to the market in providing solutions and Technical support to customers.
Listed below are some of the activities linked to role named above. This is by no means an exhaustive list but gives an idea of the type of work that is involved with this position.
*Carry out honing process development, demonstrations and development tests as required on the full range of machines at or clients and at customers:
oEnsuring Hone Trial Request forms are filled in for every application. (where applicable).
oUpdating of Applications Priority list.
oCommunicating with Customers and Sales team to give progress updates.
oCompletion of Hone test reports.
oCompiling Case study forms.
*Assisting Sales and Engineering departments with Feasibility reviews.
*Assistance with creation of Training Manuals.
*Training customers to Operate and set machines. (Domestic and International)
*Site visits to Customers premises for Training / Commissioning or Problem resolutions. (Domestic and International)
*Involvement/Management of R+D projects to further expertise in Honing.
*Involvement/Management of Abrasive development trials.
*Liaise with customer, distributor or agent on honing applications.
*Give technical support to the sales desk as required
*Manufacture or modify fixtures and tools as required.
*Commission new machines in the UK.
*Commission new machines internationally.
*Tooling development trials.
