The Applications Engineer role:
The key function of the role is to provide technical support to the company distributor network and internal customers, including both Sales and Service departments. To provide support for sales projects working directly with the customer and company distributors and to be able to offer specialist technical support on new equipment and system.
Training given will include fundamentals and the generation of compressed air; mechanical functions of company compressed air equipment; electrical functions of compressed air equipment, including motors, frequency drive units, and controllers; principles of control regulation of compressed air systems, including the programming of company controllers.
The ideal Applications Engineer will have:
The successful candidate will have proven communication skills with both customers and suppliers, and good IT skills including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, SAGE, SAP, KESS & ADA.
The successful candidate must have either:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering
- Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
They must demonstrate the ability and desire to undertake the training on offer and to learn technical details of all their products in order to provide expert technical support. It is essential that the candidate can represent the company as a people orientated team player working with internal and external colleagues, customers, suppliers and partners, with the ability to communicate technical information.
