Application Support Assistant - Woolwich

GLL, the UK's largest leisure and cultural social enterprise, is looking for an Application Support Assistant to join our head office IT team at Middlegate House in Woolwich, South East London to work with some of our newest national business applications. The Application Support role has been created to provide extra support to the organisation in the midst of an exciting period of tremendous growth. We now boast a diverse estate in over 300 UK locations including leisure centres, libraries, children's centres, spas, adventure playgrounds and events spaces, all with unique needs and systems. With over 12,000 members of staff, of which 3,500 have full access to IT systems including a number of applications, you'll never be without a challenge.

Due to this growth, we've recently invested in a new HR system called CoreHR which incorporates personnel, payroll and recruitment functionality for the majority of our business. The system is extremely new, therefore significant end-user support is needed alongside general support for system upgrades. Fully supported by the Application Support Team, in time, you'll also provide first line support to additional applications including our customer membership, finance and various IT systems.

As an experienced application support professional, you'll enjoy the fast pace of a busy IT department and thrive on delivering business objectives and customer satisfaction. You'll need a good working knowledge of service desk technologies and will ideally have some experience of HR systems. An ITIL qualification would be benefical. You'll be a good team-player and work with other members of our IT team to provide joined-up solutions across the business.
