TEKsystems are currently engaged with a global payments provider to source a 1st Line Application Support Analyst who will support real time critical applications based on a Linux/ Kubernetes platform. You will need strong troubleshooting and Incident management skills to come up with plan of action.
The role itself is a shift based role, 12 hour shifts 7am-7pm and 7pm - 7am on site (on a alternating Rota), working 14 shifts a month.
The ideal candidate will need to have knowledge in distributing systems, Linux + some database (SQL).
The client are currently moving from IBM mainframe to a new OVN.
The day to day of the role will involve learning the current authentication system, preforming quality checks, change control, monitoring health checks.
After the transfer onto OVN distribution world, you will monitor the OVN system, then support OVN once ready.
