The Pronto Development team is the latest addition to the SPSS group within MSI. The team provides the most comprehensive mobile Policing application on the market, providing full end to end solutions from officer on patrol to back office record management.

We keep utility workers connected and visible to each other with real-time voice and data communication across the smart grid. Role Purpose:

Working within the Pronto development team to validate core solutions, that the Pronto product suite is built upon. The development team adopts an Agile workflow, working to sprints of up to 30 days. The position will require the writing and execution of test scripts; both manual and automated. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, there will be the occasional requirement to write code in additional to traditional test activities.

Qualifications, Key Skills and Experience:

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent
  • Smartphone testing (Windows Mobile, Android)
  • Automated UI test frame works
  • Delivered micro-service products on the Cloud
  • Written/executed automated scripts for Restful API testing
  • Source code management systems (i.e. SVN, CVS, SourceSafe, GIT)
  • Have experience of Defect Tracking tools (i.e. Bugzilla, JIRA, etc.)
  • SQL - Data Manipulation Language (DML)
  • Created and maintained Virtualised Machines
  • A critical eye for detail, that challenges the status quo
  • Good written/spoken communication skills
  • The successful candidate will need to undergo UK security vetting for this position. This will involve:

    • Completion of a security clearance questionnaire by the candidate
    • Checking identity documents and employment/education/references/residency in the UK (a minimum of 5 years)
    • Checks against UK criminal and security records
    • A credit reference check;
    • If considered necessary, checks against the criminal and security records of relevant foreign countries.
