Opus Energy, part of the Drax group, is a leading independent supplier of gas and electricity to businesses all over the UK. Due to continued growth in our IT Product Development team, we are looking to recruit a Senior Application Developer to join our fast-growing team in Northampton.

You will be primarily responsible for the continuous improvement, maintenance and evolution of Opus's business applications. Due to the nature of the role you must be an experienced developer of complex systems using and SQL. You will also have development experience in an agile environment and working with Source Code Management.

The successful applicant - What we need from you?

* 2+ years' experience of WinForms based application and Windows Service development
* Able to work without supervision alone or as part of a team.
* Solution driven attitude

* Wide ranging interest in old and new IT development.
* Able to problem solve; forward-thinking.
* Willing to take reasonable risk when necessary
