We are hiring for an Analytical Scientist (Analytical Chemist) to work in an established business in the North East that is expanding. Our client is involved in radiosynthesis chemistry, supporting pharmaceutical research and development. The salary is up to £24,000.
What you’ll do:
You will be working on the analysis of drug products in Quality Control, specifically developing validating and applying analytical methodologies. This role will involve providing specialist advice and problem resolution for analytical methodologies.
You will be working on the analysis of drug substances, raw materials, intermediates, and drug products using a variety of testing techniques, HPLC, LC-MS, IR and UV. You will be developing and validating analytical methodologies, during QC and stability evaluation on a range of materials.
In addition you will be preparing and reviewing reports, quality documents and training documentation. This will also involve acquiring and recording data in a GxP compliant manner and following the policies and procedures of GxP.

We envisage the person who joins will be experienced in the application of analytical methodologies in a pharmaceutical environment. This role will be working in a busy business that has projects coming in from clients in the UK and overseas. The word dynamic is overused however I’d describe the business in this way, we need someone who has good oral/written communications, critical data assessment, and a flexible approach to new challenges at work.
Notes on the client
I’ve worked for 15 years as a scientific recruiter and must say I admire this company a great deal, their leadership, wider team and market offering are excellent. My impression of their culture, is they aren’t a place where the grass will grow under anyone’s feet, and from many meetings and conversations with them I feel it’s a very exciting business to join which will provide fantastic challenges and a great career. Anyone matching up with the above brief should strongly consider this business.
On this occasion, LiCa Scientific are acting as an employment agency.
