Analytical Scientist - Hertfordshire

Kate Edwards is currently recruiting for a Analytical Scientist in Hertfordshire, to join a multi national Pharmaceutical company on a temporary basis for 6 months initially.

Your main responsibilities in this role will be to:
Perform routine analysis of moderate complexity by following methods e.g routine HPLC analyses, USP2 dissolution and Karl Fischer techniques.
Record data and maintains a laboratory notebook
Conduct Method Development experiments with limited supervision.

You are required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
BSc/MSc/PhD (or equivalent) in a Chemistry related subject with a demonstrable set of analytical lab skills.
Previous experience of working within Pharmaceutical industry is essential.
Strong analytical laboratory skills.
Excellent grasp of both HPLC, dissolution and Karl Fischer at a practical level, including troubleshooting of equipment.
You will be expected to demonstrate good scientific judgement and initiative in the achievement of defined objectives.
Familiarity with Pharma analytical method validation requirements would be beneficial.
