The Role
Analyst to work with the growing London team of a leading European Real Estate Investment Manager, to support the senior investment professionals in the screening, analysis and execution of transactions in the UK & Ireland across multiple asset classes for the in-house BNP Paribas REIM funds and separate account mandates, support on the asset management of existing portfolio and operational tasks.
Responsibilities
• Maintain database of new investment opportunities
• Prepare investment memos and business plans for Real Estate Committees and external investment partners
• Prepare detailed cash flow analysis & financial modelling on prospective investment opportunities (IRRs, sensitivity tables, etc.)
• Perform comprehensive and in-depth real estate and market analysis
• Present results internally to real estate committees
• Assist in managing existing assets of UK & Ireland Portfolio including regular asset management reporting to clients
• Client contact, assisting with implementation of investment strategy.
• Managing letting activity, including liaison and coordination with outside agents as well as BNPPRE letting agents.
• Liaising with the property managers, whether external or BNPPRE, to monitor efficient day-to-day management of the properties held.
• Co-ordinate and instruct internally and externally any external consultants required for the implementation of business plans, such as with respect to rent reviews, planning consultants and building consultants to maximise performance from existing assets
• Assistance for all aspects of origination, due diligence, structuring, arranging external appointments, negotiation and execution for investment acquisitions and disposals
• Support in preparing for asset management pitches, co-investment opportunities, separate account presentations
• Operational tasks including asset management invoicing and tracking
• Support business head with strategic reports and preparation of financials, where relevant
Person specification
Qualifications/Key Skills
• Educated to a degree level, real estate preferable
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Financially Numerate
• Strong interest in financial markets, private equity and real estate
• Commercially aware
• Proven post-qualification experience
• Willingness to work in a highly focused, collaborative, and team environment.
• Good team player contributing to success of BNP Paribas REIM
• Energetic self-starter who is flexible, organized, conscientious, proactive, and detail-oriented.
Experience
• Experience working in real estate agency, private equity / real estate investment management, real estate IB/corporate finance, transaction services advisory and/or consulting
• Excellent numerical & modelling skills working with Excel - meticulous approach required
• Familiarity with Argus / FinAsset - desirable
• Project management / transaction execution experience - desirable
• Active approach to compliance & risk management
