Our client is a small, friendly and family run business that are committed to a providing top-quality product. They take pride in their ability to work closely with customers.

This role would be suited to someone looking to acquire their first or second job role and wishing to gain the varied experience that a small company can offer. The successful candidate will have lots of initiative and be able to take responsibility for the administration within the small office and really make the role their own. You will have lots of initiative and ambition and be able to see what needs to be done and do it.

This role is crucial to the smooth running of the company’s design and administrative processes and to ensure that the rest of the team has support to work efficiently. This is a role which can evolve within the business and requires a versatile employee who is happy to assist and add value to the organisation, plus be proactive and look for areas of the business which could be improved, as well as implement ways to do so.

Some experience as an office administrator and familiarity with Microsoft Office would be beneficial, but training will be given.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, plus organisational and prioritisation skills. You will confident speaking on the telephone and providing good customer service and have superb attention to details. You will be process driven and able to use initiative as well as be a team player with the ability to manage your own workload. You will have an interest in learning and self development and also good at social media updating. There is the opportunity to support the CAD design team so you will be confident with computers and able to learn new packages quickly.

The role will include:

Answering emails and telephone enquiries, diary management and office scheduling, inputting business / customer information into a bespoke IT system, logging, evaluating, and distributing new customers’ leads, project managing customers’ orders from start to finish, requesting customers’ payments, liaising with the warehouse team to ensure accurate order processing, managing stock orders, updating suppliers’ price lists and other office data. The preparation and despatch of retail materials to stores, researching new business opportunities, updating social media postings, general office administration, e.g., ordering stationery, kitchen supplies, stamps, etc, office postal duties, filing and archiving.

Future Role Development:

To learn company CAD software to assist the CAD team with customers’ drawings.

Potential to develop further CAD and design skills for the right candidate.

This role is potentially 70% CAD (Modular design) and 30% Admin. CAD experience/qualification or design would be a distinct advantage. THIS IS NOT AN ARCHITECTURIAL CAD role and not suitable for someone looking to get into that environment.

Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm (office based)

£26.000P.A.
