The Alcentra Technology group supports the Alcentra line of business; managing use of their applications and ensuring a premium service is delivered to Alcentra staff, either directly or by managing relationships with vendors and the wider BNY Mellon technology groups.
The responsibilities of this role will be to work as a key part of our dynamic IT team focused on supporting front middle and back office trading systems as well as being involved with managing their ongoing development. The successful candidate must have experience supporting traders and trading systems.The role will be very hands on and include the responsibilities of analysing, troubleshooting and resolving complex trade related enquires and issues. This will require working with the internal team as well as liaising with external vendors to progress specific issues to a successful outcome.
A key part of this role will include direct interfacing with vendors to assist scoping, testing and deployment of new application features along with more minor technical changes or new configurations required by the business. The candidate will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team and will be able to escalate the most serious and complex issues to senior team members.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required and relevant work experience.
- A strong understanding of Information Technology.
- Experience in Asset management or financial services industry is required.
- Understanding of SQL and ability to create well-formed queries a plus.
- Experience of using / supporting Black Mountain Systems Everest and IHS Markit Wall Street Office a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including collaboration and technical analysis required.
