we are currently recruiting for an efficient and effective installation and maintenance service to the Council’s potential and current users of Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS) equipment.

This will be on a contract basis to cover a back lock of social care alarm equipment waiting to be installed into the homes of customers.

Installs and configures TECS equipment into the homes of customers
Check on and rectifies the operation of TECS equipment at premises/Properties or reports significant and faults
Undertakes basic administrative duties in accordance to the requirements of the post such as recording and updating records and timesheets
Assists with the shifting of furniture to enable to installation of TECS equipment
Other miscellaneous tasks associated with the role

To maintain a current knowledge of TECS equipment and how the TECS equipment can be configured to meet the needs of customers.
To minimise the disruption and any possible agitations experienced by the customer.
To ensure all duties carried out comply with: a. current health and safety regulations, customer care standards, council and departmental policies, procedures, specifications and quality standards and current building and industry regulations.
To meet targets and deadlines and be customer focused and orientated.
To prioritise and manages own workload in the most efficient and cost effective manner, keeping line management informed at all times.
Able to deal with people professionally at all levels and from a variety of backgrounds.
Able to recognise and deal with discrimination in its many forms and willing to actively put the council’s equality policies into practice.

Good DIY Skills and able to delivery “Handy Person” type of service to install equipment, preferably TECS equipment, into customers’ homes.
Experience of working within the care or Housing sector
Experience of maintaining and amending computerised records and keyboard operation to a high standard
Strong IT skills in using word and Excel
Experience of operating, working with basic repair and DIY tools and equipment
Knowledge of Date protection

The contract will run initially until June but likely to be extended, hourly rate £12.17ph Umbrella 37 hours per week.
