Airfreight Imports Manager

One of Headford's exclusive clients has approached us to look for a Airfreight Imports Manager for their branch in Bradford.

I am looking to find the perfect candidate to fill this role. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing key accounts and has extensive Air Freight Forwarding Experience.

The key purpose of the role will be to proactively support the Operations Director and overseeing the activity of the Airfreight Imports personnel.

The candidate will direct and optimise the company's most valued customers. Providing effective communication, leadership motivation, training and development in line with the requirements of the business.

Customer-first

  • Manage and maintain high-level accounts, including monitoring sales performance and promoting engagement

  • Manage and lead the team to successfully meet customer Service Level Agreements in accordance with standard operating procedures & safe systems of work

  • Ensure business required targets are achieved within set timeframes

  • Effectively plan and manage workloads of the team and ensure that work is delegated to enable the team to achieve performance targets

Agility

  • Mapping Key Accounts and monitor competitor activities for the purpose of informed strategy giving the business a competitive edge

  • Understanding the customers needs and facilitating change to ensure the customers needs are met

  • Work and manage and the team in a responsible way using a fair and consistent approach

People

  • Proactively help, support and train the team in terms of performance, welfare and conduct in line with company policies and procedures

Innovation

  • Offer input & foresight into the IT system to encourage development

  • Understand customers IT Requirements with the intention to get them setup on the system

  • Using improvement tools with the team to continuously look at how to make things "better, faster, cheaper"

Excellence

  • Conduct research and gathers data on the consumer, market and competitor activity with an aim to encourage client acciquistion and retention

  • Monitors and regularly reports performance and productivity of the team against KPI’s and provides additional training and guidance where required
