Air Import Clerk

Right Now Group are working with a well-established Freight Forwarder based in Feltham, who are looking to expand their Air Import Team.

They are seeking an experienced Air Import Operator who has handled 360 import operations, including full start-to-finish handling and customs clearance. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced freight environment.

As an Air Import Operator, you will be responsible for the smooth and compliant movement of air freight into the UK. From managing documentation to liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal departments, you'll be a key player in ensuring that consignments are delivered efficiently, accurately, and within compliance guidelines.

Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 (DOE)
Shift: Monday - Friday
Location: Feltham

• Handling Air Import shipments from start to finish, including customs clearance

• Creating and managing all relevant documentation, including import entries

• Liaising with overseas agents, airline operators, and UK customs authorities

• Communicating with customers, providing updates, and resolving any service issues

• Coordinating with warehouse and distribution teams to ensure timely delivery

• Ensuring all activities are fully compliant with CAA regulations and HMRC/customs procedures

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues quickly to avoid delays or penalties

• Proven experience in Air Import Operations, ideally within a freight forwarding environment

• Strong working knowledge of customs regulations and clearance processes

• Familiarity with systems such as ASM Sequoia, Boxtop , or similar platforms

• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• A proactive, problem-solving mindset
