Agile Coach / Quality Officer

Integrated to the Engineering Operations department, your mission is to provide objective insight to the top management on the status of process and product quality in the organization through quality controls, to drive or contribute to continuous improvement actions, to deploy the company processes and assets of the organization, and to perform data analysis to support management decisions.


• Define the quality assurance plan that will ensure efficiency of the project teams and excellent quality of the software work products
• Periodically audit the processes in place on the project (project management, engineering, support processes)
• Ensure that practices for better software quality are in place (pair programming, code reviews, design reviews, static code analysers, open source compliance scanners…)
• Communicate quality audit reports to the project management and the line management
• Ensure timely resolution of non-compliance actions
• Assist the project manager in defining the measurement plan that collects metrics and KPIs for monitoring the project and feed the continuous improvement loop
• Feed the central Quality Portal with the right piece of data, extract reports from it to provide top management and project management some objective insight on the status of quality in the organization.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify any need for improvement with project and line management, in line with the organization’s business objectives
• Drive or coordinate the continuous improvement actions on your project
• Update the Quality Management System to ensure it is in line with the company policies and practices applied in the teams
• Ensure the consistency of improvement actions with the overall improvement roadmap and business objectives of the organization

Training & Coaching

• Provide required coaching to project managers and engineering teams
• Deploy process assets to the organization through presentations, training and coaching activities
• Develop eLearning or class-room training material whenever appropriate

Requirements / Profile

• Demonstrable experience (min 5 years) in software development, testing and/or project management
• Strong track record of achievements in continuous improvement and quality functions
• Strong track record of transitioning large organization to Agile (Scrum, XP) or Scaled Agile (SAFE, LESS, DAD)
• Confirmed knowledge and experience in quality assurance and process improvement methods (CMMI, Lean, 6 Sigma, ISO 9001)
• Experience in software process audit/assessment
• Very good understanding of the R&D development lifecycles and functions both in a Waterfall and Agile model
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Rigorous, methodic, pragmatic and systematic
• Proactive and autonomous, able to voice factual points
• Experience in providing training and presentations to wide audiences
• Capable of dealing with pressure and adversity
• Strong sense of commitment
• Fluent in English

Would be considered a plus…

• Experience as hands-on software developer or tester
• Experience with static code analyzers (SonarQube, Coverity, others…)
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools (R, PowerBI, EazyBI, …)
• Ability to define visual Key Performance Indicators that are easy to understand and interpret
• Proficiency in using query languages (such as SQL, Hive, Pig)
• Experience with SQL (such as MSSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB)
• Good scripting and programming skills (Shell, Perl, Python, VBA)
