Our client, a leading Events and Media organisation, boast a reputation of providing unrivalled Face-to-face events across their enviable portfolio. Due to continued success and a surge in market growth, they are seeking to recruit an experienced and results-driven Advertising Sales Executive to work on the LARGEST and MOST profitable events within the company’s conferences portfolio!

Purpose of the role
As Advertising Sales Executive, you will responsible for selling content rich solutions across the portfolio. You will working alongside the Projects Editor, and will be heavily involved in creating and implementing intelligent campaigns for a variety of clients, across print, digital and face to face platforms.

Advertising Sales Executive Experience, Knowledge and Skills
This is an IDEAL role for a Sales Executive with excellent communication skills, be it face-to-face or on the telephone, a confident, outgoing personality and a proven track record in advertising sales.

- Demonstrate a commitment to fully understanding a target customer’s needs
- Proven track record in advertising sales (Print and/or Digital)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A natural problem solver, the post holder has both the analytical skills to quickly understand an issue facing the market, and the creativity and initiative to identify a solution.
- Must have ‘an eye for detail’ and proven attention to detail.
- A track record of checking own and others’ work, and accuracy, is essential.
- Commercial awareness and business acumen.

Advertising Sales Executive Duties & Responsibilities

- Exceeding team and individual sales targets set and explained by the Sales Manager
- Selling sponsorship and advertising packages over the telephone, at client meetings and at events
- Accurately forecast and track key sales metrics – reporting weekly to Sales Manager
- Generating new business opportunities and building strong relationships with existing customers
- Contributing ideas and develop opportunities that will assist in the growth of the business.
- Updating and maintaining sales pipeline with all sales activity
- Ensuring all contractual paperwork is completed accurately
- Ensuring CRM system is kept up to date with full and accurate notes
- Assisting Accounts/Finance team in chasing payments or outstanding invoices
- Operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your accounts
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with customer stakeholders
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives
- Attend competitor events as required with a view to generate revenue,
- Research events beforehand to assess number of potential leads/targets
- Conduct face-to-face meetings at competitor events
- Compiling report of attendance, results of visit and projected return
- Ongoing development of industry knowledge
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the portfolio products on offer
