Advertising Sales Executive

Hold monthly target planning meeting with Ad Manager

• Target plan to achieve 150% of gross target 1 week prior to end of previous sales period to include print / online and VAS activity

• Copy the plan to Ad Manager

• Follow up meeting with copy of notes to Ad Director and Ad Manager

1:2 Produce and maintain a 3-6 month forward target plan of print / online and VAS activity

• Update and copy to Ad Manager at the end of each monthly sales period

1:3. Ensure all editorial feature content is fully exploited

• Liaise weekly with Editor, Features Editor to ensure all featured businesses are canvassed

• Produce mailshot or emailout to prospective clients 4-5 weeks ahead of ad deadline to ensure you have time to convert

1:4. Increase number of 6 and 12 month series bookings

• Produce regular monthly marketing / promo emailout for key clients

• Develop a current testimonial file for each category of advertiser

• Produce a visit plan for all at 'risk' clients to present benefits of 6-12 month series

• Achieve pre-booked figures for each issue minimum 60% of target

1:5. Increase monthly advertiser count

• Ensure call rates are a minimum of 15 effective calls per day

• Ensure every competitor ad is fully canvassed

1:6. Develop non-core advertising categories

• Construct canvassing list of key advertisers and a call plan to present to them (within 4 weeks)

• Construct a sales presentation for each category of client (within 4 weeks)

• Implement call plan (within 4 weeks)


2. Ensure all Administration is carried out efficiently and consistently

2:1. Ensure all copy submission is accurate and on time

• Ensure all copy is organized in named folders as each issue progresses

• Ensure each new piece of copy is checked for accuracy by the Art Dept each month : a minimum of 1 week prior to send

• Ensure every piece of copy to set is complete with all text, logos and images

• Ensure every full page is numbered accurately in the copy folder

2:2. Produce a monthly market share analysis

• Obtain 2 competitor pricing estimates by category each month

• Produce the market share report 3 days after competitor publication dates

• Produce exception report for each competitor title with the market share report

2:3. Ensure all invoicing is processed accurately

• Ensure all bookings are entered accurately on the shared folder

• Ensure all invoicing is ready to be given to accounts each Friday prior to the on sale date

• Ensure all new clients’ billing details are given to accounts for invoicing as above
