Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist in Rheumatology

Applications are invited from experienced clinicians who have a broad range of clinical skills for the above post based within the Physiotherapy Service in University Hospital Ayr /University Hospital Crosshouse. You will be a highly skilled practitioner with extensive clinical experience and will provide direct clinical care which encompasses expert physiotherapy assessment and treatment of patients with a range of Rheumatology conditions. You will provide highly specialist advice to other healthcare staff/patients/carers/students and work as part of the rheumatology multi disciplinary teams.

You will initiate co-ordinate and participate in the case management of patients with multiple complex pathologies. You will have appropriate postgraduate training to Masters Level relevant to the speciality of rheumatology and have the ability to carry out steroid injections. Continuous service improvement is an essential part of this role and you will monitor evaluate and audit the service provision in conjunction with the line manager.

You will have a keen interest in personal development and in-service training and lead clinical audits and participate in national research projects.

It is essential that you possess a Diploma/MSc/BSc in Physiotherapy and are HCPC registered.

Car driver owner/driver is essential.

Hours: 30 hours per week (work pattern to be agreed).

This is a fixed term/secondment opportunity until 31 January 2019
