Advanced Practitioner - Looked After Children/Leaving Care

We are looking to recruit a Advanced Practitioner - Looked After Children/Leaving Care within the Social Care industry in Waltham Forest. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels. The Advanced Practitioner - Looked After Children/Leaving Care vacancy will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Attending Court
  • Court Reports
  • Case management
  • LAC reviews
  • Conducting reviews
  • Adoption
  • Permanency
  • Pathway Planning
  • Section 20 care orders
  • Supervising cases
  • Leading a Practice Support Group (PSG) operating as a social work unit of multi-disciplinary staff
  • Holding accountability for ensuring the safety of the children and young people allocated

Experience preferred:

  • Post qualifying experience of working as an Advanced Practitioner in a Looked After Children's and Children Leaving Care Team within the UK statutory setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • HCPC Registration
  • 4 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
