Advanced Nurse/Paramedic Practitioner or Trainee Advanced Practitioner

Ready for a new challenge implementing physical health excellence across our services?

Part Time - 22 Hours
Salary:£31,000 - £44,000 Pro rata

Are you an Advanced Nurse or Paramedic Practitioner looking for a new challenge or an experienced practitioner looking for an opportunity to gain an advanced practice qualification? Have you ever considered applying your knowledge and experience in a different health care setting? If the answer is yes then an exciting new challenge awaits you at St Andrew’s Healthcare.

You can achieve more at St Andrew’s Healthcare

A top 20 UK charity, St Andrew’s is a unique provider of specialist care in mental health and learning disability. We aspire to deliver truly world class, holistic services within our outstanding, modern facilities. Our independence means we can always put patients’ interests at the heart of decision making, while re-investing surpluses in frontline services. We are transforming the Charity to deliver ‘Value Based Healthcare’. This will ensure our patients consistently get the best possible outcomes and local teams gain more control and responsibility.

The Role

We are looking for a credible, professional and dynamic Advanced Practitioner to join our team. The successful applicant will be a team player who enjoys working at the top of their clinical competency and who recognises the value of education, support and development within the work place.

We welcome applications from registered healthcare professionals currently not working within mental health services who have transferable skills to support our agenda.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for promoting parity of esteem between physical and mental health through the implementation of high quality healthcare across the charity. We plan to bridge health inequality for our patients by:

  • Preventing unnecessary admissions to local acute hospitals
  • Providing a safe resuscitation service
  • Reducing the risks caused by psychotropic medication
  • Increasing access to national health screening programmes
  • Improving our management of long term conditions

There’s no doubt that this is a demanding role working in a very fast paced environment, however for the right individual, this would be a very rewarding role and one which you could really make your own.

We offer an excellent benefits package including pension, 38 days holiday, sickness policy on par with NHS, life cover, car lease scheme, cycle to work scheme and opportunities for continuing professional development.
