We are looking for 2 Residential Support Workers to assist in the provision of a high quality 24 hour residential service at Arundel House.
You will work a five day a week rota pattern which includes alternate weekend working as well as some unsocial hours and undertaking sleep in duties is required. The salary is £17,491.56 per annum for working 32 hours per week, based at Arundel House, 34 Garratts Lane, Banstead, Surrey, SM7 2EB.
Arundel House is a registered Residential Care Home providing a 24-hour personalised support service for 18 Adults with Learning Disabilities. Situated in Banstead Surrey we are in easy reach of the A217 and the M25. Banstead has various public transport links and the local train station is a 15min walk.
About the Role
Arundel House is a residential home for Adults with learning difficulties. At Arundel we provide a service to individuals supporting them to live with a maximum of choice and independence, designed to meet their individual needs. We are committed to supporting residents in a person centred way that helps them to develop and retain their independence, and encourages individuals to take an active role in the community.
We are inspected on a regular basis and we are very proud of the quality of our residential services for Adults within Surrey. As a result, we have invested in our homes and staff and plan to continue this, in order to achieve a service that is ambitious, innovative and responsive to the needs of service users within our care.

You will be:
- Sensitive to the needs of people with learning disabilities, and able to support service users meet their personal care needs, including personal hygiene and some domestic duties as well as providing direct practical interactions.
- An excellent communicator with the ability to work effectively to with a wide range of individuals, including external partners and agencies.
- Willing to encourage and support people with learning disabilities to access activities and facilities in the community.
- Respectful of the cultures and beliefs of the people we support.
- Resilient to handle sometimes challenging situations.
- Able to use IT systems to accurately record information and contribute to care plans.
- Organised so as to support the shift- communicating with colleagues to plan and coordinate activities.
In return for your dedication we will offer you a Full Induction Training (including mandatory training), as well as the opportunity to undertake further Personal Skills Training under regular staff supervision. We will support you to complete the Care Certificate within 12 weeks of the start of your employment and opportunities for further study are available. You must attend all mandatory courses’ to help you achieve a good knowledge of your role. You will also have the opportunity to undertake other personal skills training. Knowledge of National minimum Standards (Care Standards Act 2015) would be helpful although full training will be given.
