£25,821 per annum for 36 hours per week based at Woking Borough Council Civic Offices, Gloucester Square, Woking Surrey GU21 6YL.

About the Role
We have an opportunity for a Personal Assistant to provide proactive business and administrative support to the Area Director in North West Surrey. The role provides support to senior managers across the directorate to help deliver efficient and effective management for the residents of Surrey. The post will be based in Woking Borough Council, Woking, although this can be flexible and can be discussed further at interview. There will be a requirement to travel across the county including Guildford and Kingston.
Tact, confidentiality, discretion and the ability to perform to the highest professional standards are critical, together with the ability to form excellent working relationships both internally and externally, e.g. Clinical commissioning groups, district and borough councils, senior managers and peer PAs.
The role will provide comprehensive business and administrative support on a day to day basis to ensure the efficient and effective use of management time. This will include:
- Complex diary management
- Screening incoming calls
- Preparing and responding to emails/correspondence
- Coordinating meetings, conferences and other events
- Preparing meeting papers and agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring actions and recommendations arising from meetings and other activities are followed up
We are looking for someone who:
- Is highly organised
- Has a proactive approach
- Ideally you will have experience of working as a personal assistant to a senior manager
- Experienced minute taker
- Possesses good verbal and written communication skills
- Has the ability to work independently on your own initiative and as part of a busy team
