Would you like to join our trauma recovery programme for young people in care?
We are looking for social care professionals to join our team whose primary focus is to:
1. Be the primary individual for 3-4 young people with the responsibility to develop and engage them on the therapeutic programme we run.
2. Creating and managing a multi agency plan to manage their risks to living independently in the community
3. Seeking and following direction from our In-house case management team.
Our team specialise in working with those with complex traumatic histories and symptoms, and in reducing their risks within the community.
The role will require excellent written and verbal communication in both your contact with professionals and your direct 1:1 work with the young people.
Candidates must have a willingness to develop themselves personally and demonstrate ongoing self-awareness in their work with our young people.
In order to be eligible for consideration for this role, you must have a social work, education or psychology based degree level qualification, and experience in working with this, or a similar, client group.
Whilst supported by a wider team, a large part of the role is lone working. Our client group is made up of 16-18 year olds in and leaving care and all cases have experienced significant trauma.
Through extensive research and experience, we have developed a lone-working model to work closely with the young person and to emulate reparative parenting for optimum success and outcomes.
KPMS prides it’s self in using physiological and social care theory and practice. Which is underpinned by policies and procedures that hold the professionals accountable for managing the risks and future success of the young person. On this basis we therefore expect all staff to share this commitment and demonstrate it through their practice.
All successful candidates will be subject to the relevant safer recruitment checks.
Candidates will be sent a full KPMS application form to complete if selected for interview.
