Technical Sales Administrator

Full Time Permanent Role
8.45 - 4 45 Mon - Friday

Our client is a very established company looking to employ a new technical sales administrator to join their busy team. This is a role for someone with similar experience, gas industry experience would be preferable, however, 2 - 3 years as a technical sales administrator will suffice. Office based.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Maintain regular contact with customers to identify their requirements.
• Keep customers informed of progress of their orders and ensure that they are notified of any possible delays
• Provide customers with information requested by them about stock and orders.
• Maintain good relations with customers to ensure that the company remains as the preferred supplier.
• Establish and maintain effective communication links with other company departments to identify all sales opportunities.
• Maintain an awareness of company products and of relevant sales techniques to ensure that the sales role is carried out as effectively as possible.
• Respond to customer complaints and resolve any technical problems to ensure that company products are working effectively and the customer is satisfied with the service provided.
• Investigate any claims made against the company by the customer and negotiate an acceptable settlement where possible.
• Maintain an awareness of developments in products and in the industry in general and pass any relevant findings to the appropriate departments.
• Organize site visits and product trials for prospective customers and report results to relevant managers in the company.
• Maintain contact with dispatch in relation to damage to goods, inspection of return loads, etc.

Main Purpose of the job:
Office based role to provide technical support to customers for all products supplied but with particular regard to the gas market, installation and regulations by the company so that they make the best use of those products and any problems are resolved.

GCSE/A level

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
• computer literate and able to immediately grasp the company's computer system
• background of Gas/Combustion industry;
• excellent telephone, interpersonal and negotiating skills;
• an awareness of ordering and distribution problems
• good analytical and problem-solving skills.
