Our public sector client based in Cheltenham have an exciting opportunity for experienced Administrator to join their busy team.

Temporary ongoing contract until April 2018

Immediate start

Hours Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm

Tasks include

answering calls,
maintaining spreadsheets,
taking minutes,
organising meetings
Use of electronic systems for children and general admin duties.


Experience in working with Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience in working with other bespoke computer programmes
Must have telephone experience and know how to deal with difficult/upset people over the phone
Experience in prioritising tasks
Experience in working in an office environment

Knowledge, Skills and Understanding

Computer literate, preferably in a Windows environment
Telephone skills
The ability to respond appropriately to people who may be distressed/confused/angry/etc
Knowing when to deal with enquiries and when to pass tasks onto other colleagues
General clerical and office administrative experience.
Active listening skills & ability to follow instructions.
Experience in dealing with members of the public, preferably from a social care perspective
