The Team:

Moore Stephens LLP Restructuring and Insolvency offices include London, Bristol, Birmingham, Chatham and Watford.

The Watford team deals with personal insolvencies, liquidations, bankruptcies and proceeds of crime appointments and insolvency advice.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of packs for new cases including conflict checks and preparation of money laundering information packs

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the IPS diary system and monitor it

  • Maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines

  • Keep all filing up to date using standard indexes

  • Draft review templates and checklists, whilst providing supporting documentation

  • Preparation of documents/reports in accordance with the firm’s guidelines

  • Assisting with setting up new cases

  • Assistance with routine creditor claims adjudication

  • Prepare routine correspondence and meet statutory filing deadlines

  • Complete internal procedures for opening and closing cases

  • Support the other members of the team by undertaking ad hoc tasks on cases

  • Input data and develop a full understanding of the IPS system. Demonstrate an understanding of the IPS diary system and the importance of meeting deadlines

  • Arrange mail re-direction

  • Prepare skeleton reports and notices for annual and final meetings and periodic reports

  • Ensure minutes of statutory meetings are prepared and signed

  • Ensure files are archived at the conclusion of ease case

  • Inventory listing and boxing up of books and records

Attributes, Requirements and skills:

  • Proven strong administrative experience gained ideally in a professional services (or similar) environment

  • A levels/degree is desirable

  • Competent at using MS Office

  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Good organisational and time management

  • Ability to work flexibly, multi-task and work under pressure with accuracy and focus

  • Results oriented with excellent interpersonal skills to deal with internal and external clients in a professional manner

  • Self-motivated and able to apply relevant skills to new scenarios
