Our client is a leading independent practice of Chartered Surveyors and Town Planners offering a full range of professional property solutions from a network of offices across the UK.

This role’s main function: as administrator for the Valuation Team offering a range of additional administrative and secretarial support to the valuation team in particular.

A range of skills will be needed - there will be elements of support to the Administration Manager and Head of Valuation, as well as straightforward administrative functions.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to join the team, with the interpersonal skills to get on well with other members of staff as well as clients, with a "can do" attitude.

The candidate will also possess excellent organisational and IT skills, able to deal with a varied, interesting and at times challenging workload.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9 am to 5:30 pm with one hour for lunch. There is a company NEST pension and 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, which increase every year by a day up to 25 days. You will also receive 2 extra days off at Christmas which are company set days for everyone.

The Administrator responsibilities will include:

1. Admin support for the valuation team

a) Assisting Administration Manager

b) Adding job details

c) Answering the phone

d) Updating in-house database

e) Typing of correspondence and reports

f) Invoice preparation and administration

g) General filing (both physical and electronic filing)

h) Holiday cover for other support staff

2. Adherence to company best practice/quality procedures and the culture and values of the company generally.

This is not intended to be an exhaustive list and other duties will be required from time to time as appropriate for the needs of the business.

The ideal candidate will have / be:

Candidates will have good organisational skills, good all-round administration skills and ideally (but not essentially) experience in a role within a similar industry. You will have a good attention to detail, experience updating company databases and using Windows 7/8 as well as good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products.

Candidates will need to have their own transport due to company location.
