Administrator - Purchasing

10-month maternity cover opportunity for a fabulous Purchasing Assistant / Administrator with experience of purchasing goods and materials. Ideally, you will have good It skills, and Sage 200 would be beneficial.

The role may suit someone who has worked in the following roles: Purchasing Assistant, Materials Controller, Purchasing Administrator, Procurement, Supply Chain

Covering this maternity role you'll be an intrinsic part of a small, friendly team assuming responsibility for the following:

  • Purchasing of goods and materials
  • Processing purchase orders and purchase returns on system
  • Negotiating and building good relationships with suppliers for competitive pricing, quality and lead time
  • Liaising with all departments to identify future requirements
  • Receiving goods in, recording and processing on system
  • Keeping the stock room tidy and organised and maintaining accurate stock levels
  • Processing daily stores requisitions
  • Fulfil spares orders and pack for dispatch
  • Keeping packing materials stocked and packing areas tidy and organised
  • Accurate data entry
  • Highly methodical and very organised
