Derbyshire Fire & Rescue have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join their growing team based in Derby.
Job Title: Administrative Assistant - South Area Office
Location: South Area Derby Office, Ascot Drive Community Fire Station, Ascot Drive, Derby DE24 8GZ
Salary: £16,781 - £17,772 per annum
Job Type: Temporary until approximately 1 February 2019 - 37 hours per week

The Administrative Assistant supports all Service Delivery work streams and assists members of public, partners as well as the whole service in delivering key administration activities. The role is part of a busy office environment requiring confidence, positivity and a flexible approach. If you are able to work as part of a team but also be self-motivated and use your own initiative this could be the role for you. There may be a requirement for some travel, for which a pool car will be provided.
Administrative Assistant - You:
- Professional written and oral communication skills at all levels
- Commitment to teamwork and team performance with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Coordination and facilitation of meetings and events including minute taking
- Good organisation skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent IT skills, especially in MS packages, databases and systems for managing information including collecting data, inputting and processing and analysing data
- Knowledge of data protection and security of data
- Confidentiality and discretion

In addition, we are also looking for a number of highly skilled and experienced administrative and departmental assistants to be held within an ‘administration pool’. As and when positions arise they may vary in hours of work and have a possibility of zero hours contracts. The positions will be based at various locations across Derbyshire. If you would also like to be considered to be held within the ‘administration pool’, please indicate on your application form. Successful candidates for the ‘administration pool’ will be kept on file for 12 months.
