Administrative Assistant - Shipping - London (Central)

The Company

Our client is the UK market leader in blended feed fats, supplying the highest quality products to the animal feed sector . We currently have an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to work within a Shipping team at their office in London.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Provide admin support to shipping team including:

Support to maintain Quality system and SharePoint.

Monitor molasses container movements.

Raise invoices for containers, pay supplier invoices and ancillary invoices.

Arrange documents and sales invoices for FOB shipments.

Ensure accurate accruals in ITAS.

Develop ITAS knowledge for shipping operations functions/trade support.

Assist with stock management, including reporting and invoicing.

Maintain sample systems and manage 3rd party samples and update results.

Organise couriers and arrange for samples to be taken and delivered to Labs/customers.

Assist Shipping Operations as required.

To answer telephone and deal with queries.

Arrange DHL courier pick up and deliveries.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Educated to `A` Level.

Computer literate - Microsoft Office & Outlook.

Able to communicate effectively and confidently; both written and verbal.

Able to work on own initiative, with minimum supervision.

Good organisational skills and able to prioritise workload efficiently.

Have a general positive and proactive approach.

Have good attention to detail.

Be able to think logically and practically with regards to problem-solving.
