Advantage Resourcing is seeking candidates to apply for a Department Manager at one of the UK leading and established Universities.
This will be a 3 month contract, to start on the 26/04/2021 and will be remote with some potential to be into the office in London in future. This will be working with the Institute of Child Health and we will be seeking candidates that have previously worked in a similar capacity at a university before.
This will be at the rates between £18.93 - £24.84 per hour PAYE on a 36.5 hour contract.
The Manager is responsible for leading the administrative team in the delivery of a general administrative service to the Research and Teaching Department of staff, students and visiting researchers. This involves line-managing two Administrators (allocating/supervising the workload between them) and monitoring and developing systems for the completion of the wide range of administrative tasks outlined below.
The Manager works closely with the Head of the Teaching and Research Department to manage the department resources and is responsible for the day to day running of the department including financial and space planning. The Manager will be a member of the Department Management group
Duties and responsibilities will cover some of the following areas for the department:
* Human Resources
* Education and Research Degrees
Qualifications, experience and knowledge:
* Educated to at least A Level standard or equivalent
* Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
* Experience of working in administration within a research focused institution
