A brand new adminstration / support team leader role for a top law firm in Newcastle.
The role is being recruited on a full term 12 month fixed term basis and will involve ensuring appropriate resources, operational processes and effective business controls are in place, whilst continuously improving the quality of support provided to improve client and business outcomes.
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced administration team leader to join a progressive and top firm in a mid managerial role which will involve a range of duties including :
Lead a team of Litigation Assistants (LAs) and Administrators (OAs) to provide appropriate support for Case Handlers to deliver an outstanding client experience and remove non chargeable administration from Case Handlers.
Work closely with Partners and Team Leaders to manage resourcing across the office
Proactively manage performance and development, appraisals, monthly review meetings, and team meetings across the support team.
Lead the support team to ensure case housekeeping is up to date.
Complete a monthly review and reconciliation to the General Manager highlighting any discrepancies or concerns.
Support the on-boarding of new team members and facilitate the completion of appropriate governance processes for joiners, movers and leavers.
Complete the renewal of professional memberships for Case Handlers.
Proactive diary management.
Attend key governance meetings, ensuring that accurate meeting minutes (where appropriate) and actions are captured. Support the RMP and General Manager to collate regular reports on office performance and progress against strategic objectives.
Share best practice across the office and nationally where appropriate to continuously improve the quality of chargeable and non-chargeable administrative support.
Operate locally as a change champion to support the development and roll-out of new support initiatives and operational processes.
Create a consolidated view of training plans within the office, supporting Learning & Development and Partners to schedule and deliver plans during the year.
Admin based experience within a legal or professional services firm and supervisory/team leader responsibilities would be advantageous
Ability to plan own and others workloads

Ability to coach/mentor and motivate a team

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be seen to be calm and assured under pressure, dealing with issues as they arise in a calm and professional manner
