Job Role: Admin/Purchasing Assistant

Location: Barnstaple

Salary: Upon Application

Our client requires someone to work with both the Purchasing Dept & Admin Team. You will be assisting with the day to day running of purchasing department and the Admin team.

PURCHASING:

  • Order processing
  • Checking confirmations and invoices
  • Daily purchasing reports
  • Updating system information, e.g. ETAs, prices, supplier codes,
  • Chasing suppliers for information, e.g. confirmations, despatch / delivery dates,
  • Running reports to communicate with other departments, e.g, scheduled deliveries
  • Price list - Liaising with suppliers, proof reading, populating spreadsheets,
  • Liaising with shippers and keeping track of container orders

ADMIN:

  • Order processing
  • Typing quotes / letters
  • Spreadsheet data cleansing
  • Tacking customer orders
  • Invoicing
  • Proof reading
  • General customer service
  • Ad hoc admin tasks (e.g. filing / scanning)

The ideal candidate will need to have the following:

Must Have:

Ideal:

Proven experience of Word & Excel

Outlook

Proven experience of working in a team

Maths & English GCSE grade C or above

Maths & English GCSE grade A / B

Good communication skills

A keen eye for detail

Typing experience

Willing to learn

Experience working in a busy office, fielding calls etc.
