Holmers House has been through a challenging 2017, moving forward for 2018 an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Care Assistant to join our home. Holmers House, located in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. We are looking for kind, motivated individuals who want to make a positive difference to the Home and the lives of our residents. We require activity organisers that can work with and develop an ambitious growth plan.
To organise and implement appropriate stimulating activities to meet the individual needs of the older service users in the service in order to value and enhance their day to day quality of life. From making cards and enjoying a game of bingo, through to bead-threading, quizzes and going for a walk, it will be your job to create and deliver a planned programme of events for the home. Having already worked in a similar role or setting, you will have excellent communication skills, a caring and person-centred approach, plus good time management ability.
The role also requires the completion of paperwork, so you will need to be orangised and thorough in your work.
Holmers House is a purpose built care home and has specially designed accommodation for older people living with dementia. It has 48 en-suite rooms, divided between its three self-contained units, each of which has their own living room and dining room. All three units have access to the home’s wheelchair accessible, landscaped gardens. Residents are supported by the staff to live as independently as their health conditions will allow and care is personalised to meet each person’s level of need. Our staff team have built a warm and welcoming environment for residents and have all been trained to support people with varying levels of need.
