We are a hospital that specialise in psychiatric mental health rehabilitation for men. It provides state-of-the-art facilities and a multi-disciplinary treatment programme designed to assist patients with their return to independent living.

Job Role:
We need someone that will help Patients to socialize within the sitel, providing a variety of activities, which cater for all tastes. Assist patients in accessing activities and identifying needs
To be able to plan and implement five-day rolling / individual programs, as well as encouraging Patients to maintain pre-existing hobbies after discussion with Occupational Therapist. To prepare and maintain appropriate materials for activities. On completion of activities to be responsible for cleaning up after activity.
A key role will be to encourage Staff, Relatives and Friends to participate in the Hospital's activities and to arrange Hospital visits as appropriate as well as maintaining full and accurate records of daily therapies / activities using the relevant documents
To Report and document any changes in Patients' physical or emotional condition to the Person in Charge. To provide with written or verbal feedback to Occupational Therapist / Head of Care on the patient's progress and fluctuation within activities

About you:
It is important to have knowledge of Healthcare environment and knowledge of Mental Health Issues.
To be confident in your role having an understanding of Mental Health diagnosis is important.
It is essential to have GCSE English and Maths or equivalent training or qualification, or able to demonstrate the same. NVQ2 / NVQ3.
It is preferred to have previous experience in working within a care environment.

Specific Requirement
Please note – this role is exempt from the rehabilitation of offenders act 1974 as you will be in contact with vulnerable adults. Therefore all candidates invited for interview will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and any offer of employment be subject to successful clearance.
